How to Brew French Press Coffee

Follow these simple steps to make a smooth, rich and full-bodied French Press brew at home.

Step 1

Add Coarse Coffee

Add coarse-ground coffee to your French Press. A coarse grind helps create a cleaner and better-balanced cup.

Step 2

Pour Hot Water

Pour hot water evenly over the coffee grounds, making sure all the grounds are saturated.

Step 3

Let It Bloom

Let the coffee sit briefly so it opens up and releases its aroma before continuing the brew.

Step 4

Steep & Press

Allow the coffee to steep for around 4 minutes, then press the plunger down slowly and evenly.

Step 5

Pour & Serve

Pour immediately and enjoy a rich, smooth cup with full body and depth.

Brew Like a Pro ☕

  • Use a coarse grind for the best French Press extraction.
  • Pour water just off the boil for a balanced brew.
  • Stir gently after pouring to wet all the grounds evenly.
  • Let the coffee steep for around 4 minutes.
  • Pour immediately after pressing to keep the cup balanced and smooth.
